Director, Business Development

AWE is looking for a Director, Business Development. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate revenue through new sales to senior executives, heads of HR and L&D, internal company sponsors and key decision-makers within organizations. The Director will take ownership of revenue generation activities: establishing and tracking sales channels; creating a methodical, data driven sales process; filling and driving the sales pipeline; and closing enterprise-level deals. This remote position is open to candidates located within the continental United States and reports to the CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales

  • Drive sales to expand the customer base and generate new revenue;
  • Prospect new clients through research, email marketing, and outreach;
  • Identify the needs of potential customers, create solutions, overcome objections, and close sales;
  • Lead virtual client presentations to key stakeholders, including information discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and proposals;
  • Clearly document in CRM and communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Work closely with account management to ensure delivery of AWE’s programs and services;
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and objectives;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidate will possess:

  • 6+ years B2B sales or fundraising experience with success negotiating and closing business;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Advanced computer and internet search skills, proficiency in Office (in particular Excel and Powerpoint), Google Apps, Asana, CRM;
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
