As a Director, People Partner in Google Cloud, Melissa partners with senior Engineering executives to provide human resources to the Core Infrastructure organization. She also leads Google Cloud’s Diversity & Equity efforts accelerating Cloud’s impact to attract and retain diverse talent.
Melissa has over 20 years of global human resources and leadership experience in both start-up and large enterprise environments. Her strengths lie in translating business strategy into diverse people strategies implementing HR solutions to support critical business imperatives. Melissa has demonstrated experience in designing workforce planning strategies, leading organizational design and handling a variety of complex business issues in a climate of constant change. She has strong interpersonal skills particularly influence management, negotiation and conflict resolution. Melissa is also recognized as an HR subject matter expert within numerous human resource consortiums.
Melissa worked at Cisco for over 18 years. While there, she served as Vice President Human Resources where she partnered with C-level executives to provide human resources to several businesses within the Networking and Security organization. Melissa also led Engineering’s Diversity & Inclusion experiments accelerating Cisco’s impact to attract and retain diverse talent.
Melissa sees herself as an advocate for all employees representing their voice and raising awareness around their experience. Attracting and retaining diverse talent, specifically mentoring and developing early in career talent is something she is truly passionate about.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bentley University and an MBA from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
