Barbara Serby serves as Vice President, Recruitment, Warner Bros. Entertainment. Warner Bros. is a leader in every aspect of the entertainment industry from feature film, television and home entertainment production and worldwide distribution to DVD and Blu-ray, digital distribution, animation, comic books, product and brand licensing and broadcasting.
In her role, Barbara is responsible for overseeing the company’s talent acquisition efforts. She leads a full-service recruitment team whose goal is to ensure quality, timely and cost-effective hires. She works closely with human resources and legal executives to ensure recruitment efforts and programs that are consistent with the company’s core values and business strategy.
Serby joined Warner Bros. Entertainment human resources organization in 2003 as a member of its worldwide compensation team. She’s held various roles, most recently serving as Vice President, Compensation, where she oversaw global compensation programs and processes.
Prior to Warner Bros., Barbara worked for several major Southern California companies, where she held a variety of HR positions focused on attracting, developing and retaining the best talent. Barbara received a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCSD and graduated from USC Marshall School of Business with a master’s in business administration. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband.
