Aanchal is a trained leadership and gender consultant and applied theatre practitioner. She manages and implements programs on gender mainstreaming, executive leadership, and diversity and inclusion. Her expertise lies in facilitating experiential trainings using the powerful tools of applied theatre, enabling participants to engage deeply and achieve transformative learning outcomes. With a passion for dismantling privilege and power structures, Aanchal employs intersectional pedagogies to unpack the complexities of feminist leadership, women’s issues in South Asia, gender equality, queer affirmation, disability-friendly practices, and anti-caste frameworks. Her approach fosters inclusive and progressive environments in interpersonal and professional spheres. Combining her academic training in Women’s Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai, and training in Performance and Communication Studies from Yale and Trinity College London, she founded the India-based feminist training and research organization, Thought Project, that has forged strategic partnerships and collaborations with renowned organizations across Asia, North America, Africa, and Europe.
