Stephanie Walter is Assistant General Counsel for ARAMARK Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC, a division of ARAMARK Corporation, which is a Fortune 200 company and $13 billion worldwide provider of managed services, including uniform and food support services. As Assistant General Counsel, Stephanie advises the company regarding real estate leases andtransactions and well as construction and supplier contracts, and safety and OSHA matters. Stephanie also serves as environmental counsel to the corporation as a whole, advising regarding environmental compliance, remediation, and transaction related matters.
Stephanie has specialized in environmental law since 1994, beginning with the defense of clients involved in Superfund site litigation. In 1996, Stephanie joined O’Melveny & Myers LLP and broadened her experience to include real estate transactions and counseling of institutional investors, landowners, lenders and public utilities with regard to the acquisition and sale of contaminated properties, methods to enhance the marketability of contaminated properties and compliance with environmental requirements.
Stephanie was named one of the Top Women Lawyers in Business in 2003 by the Women Lawyer’s Association of Los Angeles. Stephanie’s publications include Tools to Enhance Marketability of Contaminated Properties, Environmental Compliance and Litigation Strategy; Talk Policy, California Law Business (co-author).
Stephanie is a member of the California Bar and has served on the Executive Committee of the Environmental Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Stephanie is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Idaho State University. Stephanie resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons. She enjoys tennis, hiking, and cheering her boys on at soccer and baseball games.
