Shohreh Abedi is Chief Information Officer at Farmers Insurance, a position she has held since 2010. In her current role, she manages a team of several thousand IT professionals and is responsible for delivering all IT services to Farmer’s business units. She also manages sourcing partners who deliver all local IT services. For the past two years, she led planning and execution of two organization-wide IT initiatives: migrating Farmers’ infrastructure to CSC and transforming of Farmers’ claim program.
Since joining Farmers in 2007 as Vice President of Claims IT, she has also trained and retooled staff on cutting-edge IT-delivery methodology and implemented an industry-leading service-oriented architecture that simplifies new business acquisition and adaptation of changing markets.
Before joining Farmers, she was at Ernst & Young’s Customer Relationship Management practice. Later, she was Vice President, Financial Services Sector at Cap Gemini.
Her IT experience includes more than 25 years in both private and public sector.
