Michelle Locke, Advancing Women Executives Leader
Michelle Locke is vice president of Financial Planning & Analysis for DIRECTV. In this role, she is responsible for typical financial planning and analysis activities including budget and long range plan development, capital investment management, and business unit finance support.
Prior to Financial Planning & Analysis, she was the general auditor and vice president of Corporate Audit & Assurance. In this role, she implemented DIRECTV’s Enterprise Risk Management Program and performed internal audits throughout all divisions of the company.
Before joining DIRECTV, Michelle was manager of Corporate Assurance Services at Nestlé where she was appointed to lead the transition of finance functions for the Clinical Nutrition Business, a one-billion-dollar division.
Prior to her work at Nestlé, Michelle held various positions at Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) including roles in Treasury, Accounting and Audit. Michelle holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Michelle is currently the president of the Women’s employee resource group at DIRECTV called the Women’s Leadership Exchange. This organization supports the development of DIRECTV professionals through networking and mentoring and is approximately 1,000-members strong. She also volunteers her time as a member of the governing board of her church. She is based at DIRECTV’s El Segundo, California headquarters.
