A forward thinking executive, leader, and strategist, Meena Elliott partners with senior leadership teams to drive growth in companies across various industries including technology, media, entertainment, and consumer goods. With over 20 years of domestic and international legal and business management experience in the private and public sector, Meena expertly advises global organizations on significant legal and HR matters. In prior business roles, she’s led brand marketing, strategic planning, operational initiatives, and cross-functional teams. Meena is known for her ability to develop new, innovative strategies that motivate and retain talent and attract fresh minds.
Currently, she is the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal and Administrative Officer, Corporate Secretary of Aviat Networks, and is responsible for all legal and HR matters, as well as all governance and shareholder matters. Previously, she was the Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary. Meena expertly navigated the merger of Harris Corporation with Stratex Networks, which formed Harris Stratex now known as Aviat Networks, as the General Counsel for Harris Corporation’s Microwave Communications Division. Prior to joining Harris Corporation, she was a Chief Counsel at the United States Department of Commerce and before that she worked at XM Satellite Radio as a member of the launch team during its early start-up days. Meena began her career as an attorney with Energizer where she served as Director, International Counsel, Assistant Secretary.
Highly sought after for her knowledge and skill, Meena sits on the boards for Stratus Silver Lining, Inc., Enlight Research, and Legal Momentum.
A loyal champion of women, Meena is an active member in Advancing Women Executives – an organization aimed at accelerating the careers of women in business to improve the global economy, DirectWomen Institute Alumna, and Hi-Power. In 2016, she was named a Woman of Achievement by Legal Momentum, the nation’s oldest legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the rights of women and girls, for her fearless leadership throughout her profession, and in 2018, she was selected as a Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Corporate Counsel of the Year honoree for her exceptional impact in a public company.
Meena completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Classics at Northwestern University, and later her Juris Doctor of Law and Master’s of Business Administration, both at Washington University in St. Louis. When she’s not in the office, she can be found spending time with her loved ones, going to the movies, or getting her blood flowing in her favorite “boot camp” fitness class.
