Lori Marino

Former Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, ITT

Lori Marino is an award winning corporate attorney with 20 years of excellence in securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance experience, both as in-house and outside counsel. Known for her sharp focus on results and desired outcomes, Lori has a proven history of advising the world’s top corporate executives on key strategic decisions. Thoughtful, innovative, and always up for a challenge, Lori is an expert at finding cross-functional solutions for complex projects and problems.

Currently, she is Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at ITT. In her role, she provides trusted counsel to the Board of Directors, is responsible for all headquarters legal affairs and compliance for a NYSE-traded global multi-industrial manufacturer, and currently manages a department of 18 employees. Prior to ITT, Lori was the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Law and Business Development at Medco Health Solutions.

An industry leader and sought after speaker, Lori has been a panelist for various talks around corporate governance and was featured in Modern Counsel Magazine in March of 2018, for her work in helping to transition ITT’s legal department. In 2018, she was awarded the ITT Way Award (CEO’s Award) for leadership of a real estate sale with environmental challenges, in 2017, she received the First Chair Award, Top Assistant General Counsel, and in 2016, she received the ITT Way Award (CEO’s Award) for leading ITT’s 2016 corporate reorganization.

Lori’s impact reaches far beyond the walls of her office. She was a Member of the Board of Trustees for Garden State Equality, and was also a Member of the Board of Trustees and Governance Committee Chair for Gilda’s Club of Northern NJ. During her time at Medco, she helped establish the Medco Foundation, a nonprofit private foundation. Currently, she is an active member of Cornell University’s Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management Undergraduate Advisory Council, and a Leader at Advancing Women Executives, an organization that works to create equity and economic growth at work. She also currently belongs to the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.

Lori completed her Bachelor of Science with distinction, Applied Economics and Business Management at Cornell University, before going on to complete her J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif (top 10%), at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. During her time there, she was the Executive Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Lori is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

When she’s not in the office, Lori can be found traveling, playing tennis, and shuttling around her three young kids (7, 8, and 10).
