Lori Flores Rolfson
Vice President, Operations, Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas
Lori Flores Rolfson is Vice President, Operations for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. In this role, she is responsible for strategically directing and leading gas operations and maintenance functions, as well as customer service in field operations. She ensures compliance with the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers, as well as compliance with state and federal regulations. She also is responsible for customer satisfaction, employee safety, and financial results of the operations. She is the Executive Sponsor for the Latino Business Resource Group and on the Steering Committee for the Management Development Network.
Lori was appointed Director, Labor and Employee Relations, Human Resources for We Energies in 2011. In this role, Lori was responsible for directing and maintaining employee and labor relations strategies in support of corporate goals. Lori directed all contract negotiations and developed employee policies and related programs. She also worked to ensure a cohesive and consistent partnership between the company’s client relationship managers, labor principals, human resources staff, and department leaders across the company. Additionally, Lori was responsible for oversight of corporate medical services, diversity and EEO compliance, and the Human Resources Information Center (HRIC).
Lori joined We Energies in 1991, as a human resources consultant. In 1996, she was appointed Assistant Area Manager for the Southern Area, Customer Operations, where she was responsible for aligning operations work functions and operational budgets. In 2001, she was appointed Gas Field Operations Manager for the Lakeshore Area. In 2003, Lori was promoted to Area Manager for the newly acquired Milwaukee gas operations. In 2004, she transferred to the Western area as the Area Manager where she was responsible for all field operation functions, including customer service, gas and electric construction, and maintenance. In 2009, Lori became Area Manager for field operations support services, where she was responsible for field operations budgeting, third party contracting, operations work management systems support, central group customer services, and implementation of process improvement through Lean practices.
Lori is a certified Senior Professional in human resources and a certified Lean facilitator. She has served on the boards of Waukesha County Economic Development Corporation, United Way in Waukesha County, as vice chair for the Midwest Energy Association Leadership Committee and HR Committee chair for the Sharon Lynne Wilson Art Center. She is currently the Secretary and chair of the Strategy Committee for National Latino Education Institute board in Chicago and serves the Local Initiatives Support Corporation board in Chicago.
Lori earned her executive MBA and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
