Linda Theisen
Former Vice President of Global Procurement, Mattel, Inc.
Linda Theisen, Vice President of Global Indirect Procurement, Mattel, Inc., joined the company in 2012. Overseeing indirect procurement for the company, Linda represents Mattel in the sourcing of goods and services.
Linda’s responsibilities involve leading the business units across the company in the sourcing and negotiation of contracts for a variety of needs, from Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), advertising contracts and overseas shipping to name a few. Under Linda’s leadership, the Procurement Team has demonstrated an ability to assist and positively impact decision-making at Mattel by finding efficient and valuable sourcing options, integrating indirect procurement into all aspects of the business.
Linda brings more than 29 years of procurement experience to Mattel. She worked throughout the procurement organization at the Ford Motor Company for almost two decades. During that time, she was part of Ford’s globalization efforts, worked on the numerous new vehicle launches and had international rotations both with Ford Europe and with Mazda who was Ford’s Asian JV.
She then led both sales and procurement for a Metaldyne, a tier one automotive supplier, and prior to joining Mattel she lead the procurement at Fisker Automotive a start-up Plug-In-Hybrid electric car company.
In 2010, Linda was named as an Automotive News Leading 100 Woman in the North American Auto Industry.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering and her Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.
She enjoys exploring her new home state of California and partaking in many outdoor activities, her favorites being running and biking. She and her husband Bob, have three children.
