Kelly Mannard
Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, Northern Trust
Kelly Mannard is Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Northern Trust. In this role, Kelly works with the Board of Directors, Chairman and CEO, and other executive leaders to define and align strategy across business units and functional teams. She monitors trends and industry changes, manages corporate strategic planning processes, and leads executive and Board strategic review meetings. In addition, she is responsible for the strategic positioning, direction and management of Northern Trust’s brand, marketing and communications. Kelly oversees teams in corporate strategy, public relations, advertising and creative services, digital marketing and conferences and events. She also oversees community affairs, which defines and manages Northern Trust’s philanthropic activities. During the past five years, Northern Trust has contributed more than $80 million to charitable organizations globally.
She was named to her current role in July 2014. Previously, Kelly served as Northern Trust’s Global Practice Executive for Marketing, Communications and Community Affairs. Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2002, Kelly served as Senior Vice President of Financial Development, Marketing and Communications at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Before joining the YMCA, she was the Director of Communications for Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan.
Kelly received a B.A. degree from the University of Kansas. She is on the Board of Directors for Get In Chicago, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing violence in the City of Chicago. She is also a member of the Donor’s Forum of Illinois.
