Jaime Bell
Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Jaime is a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel supporting Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Intelligent Edge business. The Intelligent Edge business is comprised of a portfolio of secure edge-to-cloud solutions operating under the Aruba brand and includes wireless LAN, campus and data center switching, software-defined wide-area-networking, security, and associated services to enable secure connectivity for businesses of any size. The primary business drivers for Intelligent Edge solutions are mobility and the Internet of Things, (IoT). In her role, Jaime is part of the Intelligent Edge executive leadership team, responsible for providing both legal and business strategy. As lead legal counsel, Jaime helps the business comply with applicable laws and regulations, protect its intellectual property, negotiate strategic relationships, assess litigation matters, and execute on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Prior to this role, Jaime supported Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Hybrid IT Global Business Group as well as its Pointnext services organization. This experience, paired with her current role, has allowed Jaime to act as the lead attorney for nearly all of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s current business groups.
Before joining Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Jaime was Counsel at IBM where she held several roles within the Legal Department. She directly supported the Associate General Counsel and Secretary where she was responsible for IBM Board-related matters, corporate governance, and routine corporate securities filings for the company. As a Trust & Compliance Officer leading IBM’s Trust & Compliance Communications and Education team, she designed and delivered ethics and integrity training to IBM employees worldwide. Jaime also spent several years as part of IBM’s Services group where she negotiated multimillion dollar technology outsourcing and consulting agreements, encompassing services, hardware and software.
Before IBM, Jaime was a corporate associate for Finn, Dixon & Herling LLP in Connecticut and a corporate associate for Vinson & Elkins LLP in New York City.
Jaime received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and her B.A. from Syracuse University. Jaime is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, is registered in-house counsel in California, and is based in San Jose, California. She is also scheduled to receive a certification on Executive Women in Leadership from Cornell this fall.
Jaime is the proud mom of an amazing little girl, Abigail (who just turned 18-months old in July), as well as a four-legged little Havanese dog, Penelope (who is 2 years old). The Bell girls love dancing, swimming, and yoga and enjoy binge-watching television together (Sesame Street)!
