Erin Byrczek
Vice President, US Pediatric and Adolescent Vaccines Marketing, Pfizer
Erin Byrczek is a solution-oriented, decisive leader who has been managing multi-disciplinary teams and building complex business and promotional strategies for over 15 years. This big-picture thinker is known as both a champion of people and commercial innovation. She has successfully implemented organizational change time and time again to best serve customer needs. Erin is passionately committed to simply making things better, whether that be the team, the product, or the process.
She started at Pfizer as the Director of Marketing and worked her way to her current position, Vice-President US Pediatric and Adolescent Vaccines. In her roles, she has managed P&Ls, led the launch and promotion of new products within a highly diverse portfolio, developed strategies to increase value for brands losing exclusivity, fostered a strong team culture that focuses on building individual strengths, and encouraged thoughtful risk-taking to cultivate innovation.
Over the last five years, Erin has led her team to exceed revenue and profit budgets, delivering up to 118% of goal. In 2019, she was selected to receive one of three Pfizer global awards as a Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Luminary recipient, recognizing both her business performance and commitment to coaching and people development. In 2016, she and her team were recognized for digital and social media innovation efforts; in 2013, she was awarded the W. E. UpJohn Award – less than 1% of Pfizer employees win this annually; and in 2009, 2012 and 2018, she was the recipient of the Premier Award for superior performance.
Prior to Pfizer, Erin held marketing positions at L’Oreal and General Mills. She completed her Bachelors of Business Administration with a minor in English Literature at The College of William and Mary, before completing her MBA at The Darden School at The University of Virginia, where she was a Genovese Fellow Scholarship Recipient.
When the COVID-19 pandemic has been overcome, Erin looks forward to continuing to add stamps to her passport or snowboarding down a snow-covered mountain. While social-distancing, Erin continues her French-language studies, which she was inspired to take up after living in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. She currently resides in New York City with her loving husband Tom and two incredible children, James (13) and Ella (10).
