With over 22 years at BASF, Denise Hartmann is an enthusiastic leader dedicated to achieving strong results for the business and her team. Denise is truly a master of all trades as her diversity is shown through her career growth at BASF.  She started as an Operations Engineer and moved into the business side, spending some time as a financial analyst then transitioning into Strategic Marketing.  She is now Senior Vice President responsible the for North American division of the Dispersions, Resins, and Additives Business Unit, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Not only professionally, but Denise also spends a lot of time sponsoring others within BASF.  She is a trusted steering committee member of the BASF MBA Leadership Development Program and the Engineering Professional Development Program, mentoring and supporting career aspirations of future talent. She has served as a proud executive sponsor of the ALLChemie Employee Resource Group, an ERG supporting the LGBTQ & Ally community and currently is championing the culture change of Inclusion within BASF Corporation

Denise and her husband enjoy most outdoor activities including hiking and boating and both love to travel. Together, they summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2018.  Denise also enjoys long-distance running and is an avid volunteer with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Denise earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA, with emphasis in Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan.
