Darrah Bixler
Managing Director, Head of Global Human Resources, Heitman
Darrah is an accomplished and progressive human resources leader with a passion for culture and people. Currently, she is Managing Director, Head of Global Human Resources, Global Management Committee member, and equity partner for Heitman, a global firm specializing in real estate investments. Darrah is committed to creating top-tier programs and opportunities that support Heitman and position it as an employer of choice. She believes that it’s Heitman’s inclusive and connected workplace culture that set it apart from its competition.
Before joining Heitman, Darrah was Vice President of Human Resources for GoHealth. Throughout her 20+ year career in human resources, she’s held many leadership positions at Accretive Solutions, IRI, Kelly Services, and PepsiCo.
When she is not working, Darrah enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and their kids Emma, David, Danielle, Garrett, and Junie, her Terrier-Chihuahua mix. Darrah’s passions include traveling to new places, cheering on her daughter’s soccer team, running in the summertime, and exploring Chicago’s ever-evolving food scene. She resides in Hinsdale, IL with her family.
Darrah received a BA in Psychology from Kalamazoo College and a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University.
