Donna Cote is Vice President of Global Tax at AECOM Technology Corporation where she manages multi-disciplinary teams to implement tax-efficient structures around the world. She partners with operational business leaders to ensure tax compliance and efficiencies for all types of commercial transactions. Donna is also part of the senior management team engaged in merger and acquisition activity where she expertise helps structure deals from a financing as well as tax perspective. As a seasoned tax leader, she manages a global tax team of 22 professionals who focus on tax planning strategies and compliance to make AECOM a world-class leader in its industry.
Donna has participated and led teams in numerous projects which include treasury, legal and finance professionals from Europe, Asia, Australia and the UAE where she has led teams to implement strategies for AECOM to save tax dollars. Donna is proactive in finding ways to help AECOM save taxes; with effective tax planning she has helped her company save a significant amount of tax in the last year alone.
Donna started her career in tax at KPMG, LLP, she was promoted to Tax Managing Director before moving on to become the Vice President of Tax at Ascent Media Corporation, a global post-production and distribution company. At Ascent she build a global tax team of five, also implementing strategies there to save tax dollars. She joined AECOM three years ago and was promoted to head of tax after a year and a half.
She sits on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles chapter of the Tax Executives Institute and is a Certified Public Accountant.
She obtained her Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University.
Donna enjoys volunteering as a leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, loves cooking and wine tasting.
