“After asking (hinting really) for the past 3 years to be included in an annual week long senior executive golf outing – only to be assigned some stand in role representing the execs back at home – I was invited this year without having to ask thanks to my new approach and attitude courtesy of AWE and my fantastic one on one sessions! Not only did they invite me this year, but they are now badgering me to go. Historically they had cited the fact that there wouldn’t be any other women at the event, and therefore a reason not to include me. This year, my gender was not mentioned at all.
