Work-Life Balance Still Seen as Women's Problem

wlbSlate Magazine's article, "Male Executives Don't Feel Guilt, See Work-Life Balance as Women's Problem," illuminates the startling findings of a recent Harvard Business School study. Despite women's continued momentum in C-Suite and executive roles, family issues are still seen as a female problem. Of the male executives surveyed, most were willing to admit that they don't prioritize their family enough and praise their spouse for taking over the homefront entirely, while female executives often deal with the real emotional guilt of not spending enough time with their children. The underlying issue is the need to get men to acknowledge work-life conflicts as an everyone issue, not a women’s issue.
