LDoan

Laura Doan is the Vice President of Property Development & Corporate Sustainability at Sephora NA. The North America beauty market is very competitive and fast-paced. There are many retailers, from department stores and specialty retailers to online players and brands opening their own stores. There are new products arriving to the market every day, but Sephora offers the best selection of beauty products and the best client experience with the greatest service.  Since opening the first stores in the US in 1998, there are few retailers that have made more of an impact on the beauty industry than Sephora. Laura has held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at Sephora, and today leads the team that handles all new store construction, renovations, corporate and store facilities, as well as business resiliency.  Sephora is a division of LVMH,( Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey) the French luxury house known for very successful luxury brands.
Laura began her career working in traditional architectural firms, and over the years developed a particular expertise in retail. After spending a number of years working in the big-box retail realm, she transited into specialty retail and began an exciting career at Sephora in 1998. Overseeing capital projects valued at over $100 million annually requires a finely tuned machine to ensure that projects open on time and on budget, because there are masses of beauty junkies waiting to get their Sephora fix!  One of her greatest pleasures is working to create exciting stores that delight our clients, all the while remaining innovative and disruptive in the beauty industry.

In 2014, Laura formally added Corporate Sustainability to her responsibilities, after handling it for many years as her affectionate “side hustle”. Blending sustainability and beauty into our store environments is one of the many ways that Sephora seeks to “Make the World a More Beautiful Place”.
