boardroom-diversityAs more and more countries, particularly in Europe and Scandinavia, implement a gender quota for public companies' supervisory boards, many are contemplating whether a mandated quota is a move in the right direction. Renuka Rayasam's article in The New Yorker, "Do More Women on the Board Mean Better Results?" brings to light the divergent thoughts on this new phenomenon. American based research groups like Catalyst and Third Percent Coalition argue companies with gender diverse boards start to see better corporate governance and have a higher return on revenue.
