Jennifer Kohl has lots of jobs. Her paid gig is Executive Director Integrated Media at the newly merged VMLY&R. For her, most days are like an episode of Shark Tank where she has the privilege to work with different brands, clients and business issues. She oversees complex group structures including connections, media strategy and communications planning. Whether its toothpaste or chocolates, prescriptions or appliances, Jennifer brings her innovative solutions to the most vexing marketing situations.
Among her career achievements, Jennifer was named a Woman to Watch by Advertising Age, and was nominated as a member of the Advisor Council to mentor employees. She’s been honored with the Bronze Effie Award for Green Mountain Coffee, the Silver Effie award for Jell-O, and the SIlver Cannes Lion for The Special Olympics.
Her unpaid jobs include wife to a very chill Australian, mom to a middle and high schooler, daughter, published writer, speaker, panelist, CYO basketball, Senior Center and Girl Scout volunteer. Her diverse marketing background is matched by her diverse cultural background. As a first generation American raised by a Chinese mother and German father, she is passionate about diversity and inclusion. She has spoken on panels celebrating her Asian heritage and her background has encouraged her study of German language and mastering Chinese cooking!
