Corinna Martinez Serra

Corinna is a people and results-oriented marketing and communications leader with more than 20 years of experience. In her current role as Managing Director, she is driving digital and media transformation in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary WPP teams across Latin America. She is known for infusing teams with high energy, motivation, and her contagious enthusiasm. As a fast and creative thinker, Corinna is passionate about delivering compelling brand strategies in today’s mobile world.
Corinna joined WPP in 2009 as Managing Director at Y&R Germany and jumped in as the head of the leading therapeutic oral care brand which was ultimately acquired by Colgate. Under her leadership, her team consistently developed high performing campaigns across Europe. In 2014, Corinna’s role was expanded to Managing Director of Red Fuse Prague and Red Fuse Hamburg. The Red Fuse Prague team brought home Hill’s first Cannes Lion award for Hill’s Perfect Weight “Not in the Shape They Used to Be” campaign.
In recognition of her achievements in Europe, she was promoted to Managing Director of WPP Red Fuse Latin America in January 2017. Corinna oversees all WPP activity for Colgate-Palmolive (CP) in Latin America, including the teams based in New York, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Bogota and Cali.
Corinna’s primary responsibilities are to deliver creative excellence and drive transformational change to a digital-first mindset. This includes the restructuring of the main offices, the building of new capabilities and skillsets, and developing innovative ways to create more effective and agile processes. Some highlighted achievements include development long-term brand strategies and creative campaign platforms for CP’s key brands that are driving growth in a challenging social and economic environment.
Prior to joining Y&R, Corinna worked for Omnicom/BBDO and led international clients, such as Allianz Group, Henkel Cosmetics, Wrigley’s, Gillette and Braun. Even early on she was tasked with building an integrated agency network across lines of business and geographies. She started her career as a brand manager at United Distillers and was a co-founder of a digital start-up in the late 90’s.
Corinna loves travel, food, and good wine (best in combination). She is German, married to a Spaniard.
